Medical Dental & Vision
Package handler employees are eligible after 1,000 hours worked. Once package handlers become eligible for health care benefits, they can select medical, dental and vision benefits for themselves and eligible dependents.
*Starting 1/1/2019, Full-time package handlers are eligible after 90-day waiting period.
Medical: Consumer Premier and Consumer Choice plans administered by Anthem Blue Cross or Cigna. Dental: PPO and Dental Assistance plans administered by Cigna. Vision: Benefits administered by Davis Vision. Prescription Drug: Benefits administered by OptumRx. Employee Assistance Program (E.A.P.) / People Help: Program administered by Cigna Behavioral Health. Provides services for short-term counseling, and Mental Health/Substance Abuse benefits.
Tuition Reimbursement
Package handler employees* are eligible for the program after sixty (60) calendar days following their hire date.
Reimbursement Limit: $1,500.00 per calendar year (for eligible expenses)
*Seasonal package handler employees are not eligible for the tuition reimbursement program. However, seasonal package handler service time will be counted if employment continues.
Paid Time Off
Package handler employees earn 1 hour of PTO for every 20 hours worked and are permitted to use PTO after 90 days of continuous service. Program provides a “bank” of paid time for vacation, sick and personal use. Earned and unused PTO will be paid out at the end of the fiscal year.
Part-time Package Handlers
Eligible to earn up to 40 hours of PTO per fiscal year
Full-time Package Handlers
Eligible to earn up to 80 hours of PTO per fiscal year
Paid Holidays
All package handler employees with one year of service are eligible to receive holiday pay. Once eligible, package handlers will enjoy up to 6 paid holidays a year
Labor Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day
Part-time Package Handlers
Eligible for 3.5 hours of holiday pay
Full-time Package Handlers
Eligible for 7.0 hours of holiday pay
*Seasonal package handler employees are not eligible for holiday pay.
